벙커의 오늘날 사전적인 의미는 인원, 화기의 진지 또는 방어진지를 방호하기 위하여 지하에 구축된 견고한 구축물을 말한다. 

다시 말해 위험으로부터 중요한 사람이나 재물을 지키기 위한 최후의 공간이다.

흡사 전쟁터와도 같은 아트시장에서 전쟁을 치르고 있는 작가, 기획자, 갤러리의 안전한 보호지가 되고자 A Bunker의 출입문을 연다. 

오랜 시간동안 이어져온 붉은 벽돌 전시공간의 정체성을 새로운 공간으로 이어받아 다양한 시도를 하고자 한다. 

현대적인 건축미와 더불어 실험적인 전시공간에서 Art의 직접적인 행위와 그에 연계된 Archiving 기능이 

외부의 위험요소로부터 안전하고 자유롭게 펼쳐지길 바란다.

붉은 파벽이 내뿜는 기운에서 전해지는 에너지와 안정감이 예술작품과의 조화를 통해 개성 있는 전시 및 공연을 기대하며,

특정 분야나 집단에게 국한하지 않고 모든 예술가에게 그들의 의도와 창작물을 보여줄 수 있는 공간을 제공하고자 한다.

A Bunker in its most honest definition is an underground facility in which we shelter people or arms to protect them from harm.
In other words, it is a space designated as a last resort to protect important people or objects.

We, as members of A Bunker, serve to stay honest to our definition and provide sanctuary for artists/exhibitors and their works from the battlefront that is the current art industry. 

Within our iconic crimson brick walls, now rebuilt into a more modern architectural space, we remain dedicated to preserving the purest forms of art and all its experimental and archiving needs, ensuring they remain unharmed and uncorrupted from external risks.

The pure energy and security of our crimson walls harmonize with our exhibition to release an unique yet creative experience.
We remain far from bias and prejudice to particular artists or groups and work our best to carry out the true intent of our collaborators in order to create the sanctuary that defines our existence.
